### Examples 1. Ming said, ‘I am tired.’ → Ming said that he was tired. 2. Dad said, ‘We will leave tomorrow.’ → Dad said that we would leave the next day. 3. The teacher said, ‘The test starts at nine.’ → The teacher said that the test started at nine.
