## Learn A summary selects the important points. A paraphrase changes wording and structure while keeping the original meaning accurate.
### Examples 1. Original: The club met every Wednesday after school. Summary: The club held weekly after-school meetings. 2. Original: The path was too slippery to use safely. Paraphrase: The path was unsafe because it was slippery. 3. Original: Students received a map and a timetable. Summary: Students received orientation materials.
### Common mistake Changing a few words is not enough if the sentence structure and details stay almost identical.
